California State ID Requirement

EVERY SCEYFL-AAU FOOTBALL PLAYER NEEDS A VALID ID

All football players will be required to have a California State Identification Card, Passport, or a Military ID to compete in the 2020 season.

Our conference has identified cases where parents have falsified their child’s birth certificate so the kid can play in an older age group or a younger age team. Due to identified falsification in the past, Parents are now required to get a state ID card for their child before joining the Conference. Unfortunately having a birth certificate to prove the child's age is no longer enough. Adult integrity has been lost by some which demands we evolve and make adjustments. Conference has established this policy effective immediately and initiated the policy in 2018 for some divisions, but will now be required for ALL divisions.

California State Identification Card may be obtained from the DMV or satellite office that issues driver's licenses. In order to get the California State Identification Card, you'll need to bring:

Your child’s birth certificate
Your child’s social security card
Your driver's license

Regular ID card valid for six (6) birthdates from the date of application.

If applying for an original REAL ID identification card or converting to a REAL ID identification card, you must provide proof of your Identity, SSN, and residency from the list of acceptable REAL ID document options.

You may pay a reduced application fee for an original or renewal identification (ID) card if you meet income requirements from a public assistance program. If you are eligible, the governmental or non-profit program will give you a completed Verification for Reduced Fee Identification Card form (DL 937) to take to DMV to apply for your reduced fee ID card.

See your local public assistance program agency for information about eligibility requirements and obtaining a DL 937 form.

PLEASE DON’T WAIT! ID cards WILL NOT be issued at the time of your transaction. They will be MAILED to your California residential address on file and can take 5-7 business days to process.

Triple check your address before you leave DMV and tell the DMV representative if your address is incorrect. Your new ID card will be mailed to you within 60 days. If you have not received your ID card after 60 days, call 1-800-777-0133 and they can check on the status for you. Have your receipt and/or old ID card with you to provide information when requested.
